Blaze, it’s so good to see you back. I lost track for you for awhile. I wanted to write and say how much I love your fabric artwork! This is right down my alley. I would love to try this. What kind of adhesive/glue did you use for these? I love them. They are really pretty. It reminds me so much of Eric Carle’s art.
I’m in love with the morning noon night series…do you still have prints of them available???
Love the ‘Beauty as a Specimen’ series. Nice blog, beautifully laid out. Stumbled on your blog through a Victoria magazine link (I think?!)
Hi Blaze,
Are you still selling artwork anywhere? I have a little girl’s nursery that could use some artwork for the walls :)

Hi! Saw your comment on the Edible Art Project blog. I see you are an artist, would you be interested in partaking? If so, please e-mail me at ashlae [at] live [dot] com – it’s free! And all you have to do is create the art and send photos to me :)
I’m totally in love with the octopus and the hot air balloon!
Thank you! ;)
Your new work is just beautiful, Blaze! I can imagine a little world tucked inside a walnut shell… I hope your story is coming along swimmingly :)
Thank you Miss Elizabeth! :) You are always making me smile!! p.s. Gracie still plays with the toy you mailed for Christmas! It’s one of her favorites!!
Love the my quilt series! I’m a huge Bio nut, so I loved the barnacles and sporulating mosses, the algae and asci fungi. Wonderful seeing a biome as something God stitched together as a beautiful and complete whole. Can’t wait to see what comes next!
Thanks Andrea! Nature definitely has a loving Designer, and I enjoy exploring the uniqueness of each biome! I’m working on the next one right now!
Your artwork is always inspiring. I like to believe in living life the way you imagine and making magic come alive in small and big ways. You are really talented

*gasp* very talented! :D
I love the creativity behind your artwork and I can only imagine how you see the world on a regular basis! So beautiful <3
Your artwork is astonishing. I really (really) (!!!) adore the biblical-quote-ones. And the quilt with the sleeping fox is wonderfully brilliant. THIS, your kind of blog is what makes me like the internet and the blogosphere so much! (thanks for commenting on my blog, I’m so glad to have seen your work now!) You’re very gifted/talented!
Wow! Thank you Louise! :)
Beautiful–I love the fabric art especially! I’ve always wanted to try it, but I hate cutting things, so I’m pretty sure it’s not for me :)
Thank you! It took a while for me to get the hang of it, but I really enjoyed using my hands in a different way. :)
I really like the fabric piece of the ship and squid/octopus/kraken/whichever. I draw a lot of cephalopods in my art, they’re so interesting. Do you paint with other mediums? Just watercolor? I’ve come to absolutely love watercolor. A lot of the pieces on my portfolio page are watercolor.
Thank you! I like your pieces too. Funny you should ask about medium, I just posted some new work today in oil pastel. I mostly stick to watercolor though as it’s one of my strengths.
thank you so much for your comment!
your fabric collage pieces are very lovely :)
I love your art, it is great! Keep it up :)
