Bright colors in a quiet house

I’m feeling pretty tired after a long and busy weekend.  I got to spend time with many friends and enjoy a couple jam-packed days.  Eating food, telling jokes, giving hugs, clapping hands, and singing loudly.  Today, I am recovering with tea and some much needed down time.  I love being surrounded with friends, but I am learning that I gain my energy back with solitude. What about you?  Do you power up with quiet time?  Or do you get your liveliness by surrounding yourself with people?

I did these tulips a couple of evenings ago to soft lamp light and a quiet house.  The bright colors lifted my tired spirit and gave me the strength I desired.  They continue to cheer me today.

ohh tulips are beautiful. I was thinking the other day how lovely would be to have them on balcony, but I am afraid their planting season is over.
