When I was a freshman in college, one of my first drawings I made was on gray drawing paper with black and white soft pastels. I carefully crafted those birch trees, happy, because I had officially decided to become an artist when I grew up.
I drew the above trees from that memory, more rapidly this time, but the color palette remains the same. I can’t believe it has been just over six years since that class started. Becoming an artist is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
