iTunesday part 3

I’ve missed a couple iTuesday posts, so today I’d like to share three really cheerful albums and conclude my iTunesday posts!  It’s perfect timing because this weekend we are driving with Jameson’s family to see his extended family, and I’m sure there will be some festive tunes here and there!  Favorite Christmas albums continue with…

1. Pink Martini – Joy to the World

I love these guys, and was fortunate to see them play live with the Colorado Symphony!  China Forbes has a beautiful voice, and it is a treat to hear her sing in multiple languages.  Pink Martini is a jazz, latin, classical fusion, and I adore their version of Auld Lang Syne.  Love it!

2. Vince Guaraldi’s Charlie Brown Christmas Album

This album is a no-brainer, especially since it is playing in every Starbucks this very instant!  It is too good though not to mention, and it’s one of my absolute favorites to listen to with something pepperminty in my mug.  Perfect for those days you want a little instrumental Christmas music playing in the background.

3. And lastly, the Elf Soundtrack

This album mostly reminds me of my best high school friends and the hilarious Mr. Ferrell, but it has some of my favorite songs on it, including Duke Ellington’s jazzy version of the Nutcracker Suite.  And gotta love Louis Prima and Ella Fitzgerald too!

It’s been fun sharing with you my favorite albums!  I can’t believe Christmas is so close – There is so much to do!  Blogging will slow down a bit before the New Year, but I’ll try and keep some posts coming!  I would love to hear more of your favorite Christmas music and if anyone has put up their tree yet?  Happy Tuesday! :)

p.s. If you missed part 1 and 2!

  2. Good albums!! I will never forget when we went to see Elf in the theater…So much laughing!!! I love the soundtrack too. I love when Buddy comes out of the Lincoln Tunnel and I think it’s “Pennies from Heaven” that starts playing :) I love you! Do you have your tree up yet? Let’s see a pic? :)

  4. Hi Blaze,
    Happy New Year!
A great selection, I love the film Elf, it has now become a staple Christmas film in our house. I watched it a few weeks ago and have to admit that I can’t remember any of the sound track. I will need to sort that out!

  5. Hi Blaze!

Hoping you had a great Christmas with you family and wishing you and Jameson a very wonderful 2012!
