I have been enjoying this beautiful November and these windy afternoons! Storms, hail, and downpours one minute, and crisp sunshine the next. Here is a little list of our favorite things that have made this month special: Korean raman and YamYam snacks, sewing projects, pumpkin eggnog, Morning Joe coffee, more trips to the beach, and tons of Christmas music! This year more than any other I have been so excited for the holiday season (read this post why), and I just can’t help listening to my favorite albums! (Sorry haters, but it really isn’t too early) So! I thought it would be fun to share my favorite holiday music with you! Every Tuesday for the next few weeks I’ll share my absolute favorite Christmas albums! We’ll call it iTunesday because you should go buy them right away. :)
My first favorite has been my go-to album when I want to feel Christmasy all day long. To me, this album exudes the magic of the season and if it had a smell, it would be something cinnamon spicy. It’s got everything from the Nutcracker Suite, Winter Wonderland, Silver Bells, and my favorites; Silent Night and Sleigh Ride…. Yes friends, The Carpenters Christmas Portrait is Holiday excitement in one album. And if you haven’t ever experienced Karen Carpenter’s buttery alto voice, then you have been missing out. Big time.
So there you have it! Go listen to some samples in iTunes, and come back next Tuesday for another favorite album of mine. Today I have huge laundry goals, and Karen is going to help me finish strong. What are your favorite Christmas albums? Anyone else listening early? :)

Did you hear my giggle when I saw Karen’s face pop up?! She was one of the only female singers that I could sing along with without changing my pitch. Love her.
My favorite albums… Andy Williams’ Christmas Album, Josh Groban’s Noel, Charlotte Church’s Dream a Dream, Nat King Cole’s The Christmas Song and Amy Grant’s Home for Christmas/
Haha! I think I could! :) You can’t have Christmas without Karen! :)
The Christmas album that always gets me feeling Christmassy is actually a Christmas mix you made me in high school. A good chunk of the songs are from Charlie Brown Christmas, and then there’s some Nutcracker, Chris Martin, Norah Jones, etc. I love it! One of my fave actual albums is Michael Buble Christmas!!
I’ve just ordered a cd I’ve been wanting for a couple of years – The New Possibility: John Fahey’s Guitar Soli Christmas Album. I’m so excited about this because it is such a peaceful and restful album (and it’s arriving today!). Otherwise, I always love the Mannheim Steamroller Christmas cd’s – especially the first ones. Another all time favorite is December by George Winston.
We just bought a recorder player with alot of Christmas records I can’t wait to listening to them
have a great day
What great albums! It looks like I’ll have to do some listening myself!
