Honey for my Honey

One of my very favorite fall treats is a delicious honey straw.  They come in so many flavors like blackberry, apple honey, and cinnamon, and to me they exude all of autumn in one little dessert.  When I was in  college, I sent my boyfriend cozy fall care packages.  I remember filling the parcels with honey straws from Pike Place, Dammann Frères Teas from The Teacup, chestnuts and seeds I found on walks, colored leaves, a couple pomegranates, love notes, and photos from the summer.  I remember wrapping everything up in a box painted in yellows and reds.

And the morel of the story?  Single ladies, take note: those packages bought my husband’s love, and this very moment he’s made me tea as I blog with the sniffles.  :)

As the days grow colder, I think our hearts should grow warmer and more loving.  And nothing says that better than a steaming pot of tea and some honey on the side.
