The Beginning of Summer Days

I hope you’ve had a nice chance to get acquainted with the Fleet Foxes since my last post!  It’s been a little crazy here, as you can probably guess – packing up our home has left us feeling nostalgic, stressed, busy, excited, and appreciative for one another.  Each time we pack up a drawer or shelf, memories come flooding over us, and our inner pack-rat/purger handles the rest. :)

This week we have boxed up as much as we can without jeopardizing our last month of Denver living, and we await Jameson’s folks for their last visit out here!  Jameson graduates this Friday, and we have been all smiles!!  He just finished his last class yesterday, and we have joyfully been celebrating the accomplishment of a shiny new masters degree!  I am so proud of him and his hard work – I cannot stop bragging!  He has worked his rear off these past two years and finished this last month strong (never phoning it in), and proved himself to be the best student of all time.  Seriously, that guy is so darn smart!  Congratulations to the ever-hardworking Jameson!

This evening, we are tidying up a bit for our company while listening to The Beatles.  We’ve got about half an hour left of sunlight left, and it feels good to have had a relaxing and productive day together.  Today has felt like the first day of summer, with plenty of sunshine and iced coffee, and I feel so blessed to be enjoying the end to this chapter.  I am also very much looking forward to this week since  Mr. and Mrs. Bratcher are going continue the celebration by taking some exciting Denver day trips with us, (which I’ll be sure to blog about).  Gotta see as much of this beautiful state while we’re still here, right?  The cherry on top? A whole week of 80° weather.  June is so good.

These two photos were taken on one of my packing breaks.  How can I stay inside with this gorgeous weather right outside my window?

P.S. I knew those leaves would come in!

Please pack up some of that glorious sunshine to bring home…we are in desperate need of any little bit of sun! Way to go Jamie!!! We adore you! :D

  3. Just read the last part…80′s?! ::::hitting head on keyboard:::: We’re still having the wind, rain, snow, cool, wind, chains or snow tires required to go over the pass, did I mention wind?

Congrats to Jameson! It seemed like just yesterday you both moved to Colorado! Have fun this week!
