My! Time has passed here on the blog! The buds from my previous post have blossomed already and so have I. So much has happened during my absence, (which I will catch you all up on!) but today I am happy to post that Jameson and I have decided we are moving back home to Seattle, Washington!!
I didn’t want to spill our secret too early, which is why I’ve been avoiding blogging – so much of my thoughts and feelings have been focused toward our move! But the time has finally come to announce, and it feels so wonderful to speak freely of our future.
We still have a lot of planning and living to do here in Denver, (not to mention graduating!) but life is going to be quickly changing these next couple months. Lately, we have been mourning our beloved Colorado and all of our amazing memories we have made… our almost two-year marriage has been built here in the sunshine! Our first ski trip, days spent in the park, bike riding, entertaining many guests in our little home, cooking new meals together, befriending many beautiful people, and just learning day after day that getting married to each other was the best and smartest thing we’ve ever done or could do.
We are excited and scared and awaiting so much new change, it’s hard to even imagine life three months from now. We are looking forward to greener trees, water to swim in, beaches to picnic on, earth to garden and plant into, puddles to jump into, families to laugh and live with, and our beautiful home city to invest into. We always feel like Seatteites in every city we visit, and we will soon be donning our natural identities in our natural habitat. Coffee guzzling, iPad surfing, book reading, flannel wearing….. the list goes on and on.
To be consistent with my plant metaphors, I can say that I feel like a potted plant being transferred to the yard… feelings of permanence, stability, and the ability to thrive. Our roots can stretch out and and we can finally grow to our proper size.
Stay tuned for more growing.

It will be nice to have you guys closer again. You have been missed. What month will the move happen?
BTW- I just love Colordo myself. So many dear memories growing up are of visits with my extended family there. :)
beautiful words :) Even thought I’m not living at “home” (natural habitat) right now, I feel so inclined to say YAAAAAY!!! YOU’RE COMING HOME!!!
